Uluru (Ayers Rock)

Spiritual place for Aborigine, Uluru
.
There are a room for women (give birth), the hole in the rock shapes just like womb,
a room for men shapes just like .... yes, as you imagine.
The rock has a heart on its surface, and it has stories.
Aborigine treasure Nature, Uluru is the symbol. They respect it, live with it.

But it is also a big money maker for tourism, 'Ayers rock',

We tourists climb up the rock, step on their spiritual place.
made handrail, drive in stakes for our convenient.

How difficult for Aborigines,
but they still wish us to not get any injure.

Even though we even don't think about Aboriginal culture,
or their feelings, forgot to respect it, they are worried our life.

Numbers of years, some people have been trying us to respect Aboriginal culture.
the movement is slow, but it is going.

The airport has moved to resort area from next to Uluru.
Some of tour guides telling us to not climb up Uluru.

There is beautiful hiking trail around the Uluru
and it will tell us a lot of ancient Aboriginal stories, they are called 'dream time'.
and I know that those will teach us how to respect nature, other culture, even ourself.

Recently, Australian have decided to not call it 'Ayers rock' any longer.
It is a spiritual rock for Aborigine, and the symbol of great nature, 'Uluru'.
